Requirements

  • Matric qualification
  • Qualification in travel/tourism/hospitality/marketing will be an

advantage

  • Ability to engage at all levels, superior people engagement skills,

understanding the value of destination marketing

  • 2-3 years working in a visitor centre or as a tour guide on in a

marketing portfolio

Key Performance Areas

  • Receiving, registering and spatially orientating guests and visitors in

terms of standard operating procedures

  • Leading pre-arranged tours through the park and stadium by

providing accurate facts

  • Assisting with guest relations functions at special gatherings or

events under the supervision of the manager and in line with guest

protocols

  • Activating audio-visual presentations/features/ designed to

enhance the visitor experience according to technical specifications

  • Communicating engagingly with visitors on the various exhibitions,

displays and paraphernalia designed to stimulate and hold visitor

interest

  • Performing retail operations including activities related to

stock-taking, sales ,pricing and securing of merchandise/goods or

services

  • Maintaining records and reports of visitor activities as well as

reconciling transactions
