Requirements

• A relevant National Diploma / BDegree in Analytical

Chemistry/Environmental Sciences/related

• 2 -3 years’ relevant experience
• Computer literacy
• Code B Driver’s License

Key Performance Areas

• To ensure compliance with the Water Services Policy,

Regulations, Strategy and Standards by implementing the

Wastewater & industrial effluent by-law

• Implementing the By-law relating to Storm water Management and

implementing the Treated effluent by-law

• Implementing and improving quality management within the

section

and undertaking water pollution control related projects and

programs

• Responsible for raising community awareness
• Participating in partnerships and co-operative governance

enhancing revenue recovery and performing ad-hoc duties as

may be required

• Ensures an awareness of regulatory rights and responsibilities
• To apply basic concepts , professional functions and theoretical

knowledge in a specific discipline

• Communicating professional knowledge of the

functional area as well as results of research and

investigations to internal clients

• Responsible for administration and handling of routine

correspondence and enquiries with regard to the functioning of

the Department/ Branch

• To implement and enhance proper control of wastewater and

industrial effluent.
